Participating Member Institutions and Authorized Users may incorporate no more than 20% of an individual work or a chapter of the Licensed Materials in printed and electronic Course Packs and Electronic Reserve collections for the use of Authorized Users in the course of instruction at a Participating Member Institution, but not for Commercial Use, with the exception of SUPO+ Licensed Materials, as defined in 1.5 and identified in the Licensed Materials Schedule, which use shall not be permitted. Participating Member Institutions shall be permitted to supply to a library of a non-Participating Member Institution (whether by post, fax or secure electronic transmission or secure post-to-Web, whereby the electronic file is deleted immediately after printing), no more than 20% or one chapter of the Licensed Materials, for the purposes of research or private study and not for Commercial use, with the exception of SUPO+ Licensed Materials, identified in the Licensed Materials Schedule, which use shall not be permitted, consistent with the fair dealing doctrine and exceptions for educational institutions and libraries in the Canadian copyright law. Authorized Users may print no more than 20% or a chapter of an individual work contained in the Licensed Materials, with the exception of SUPO+ Licensed Materials, as defined in 1.5 and identified in the Licensed Materials Schedule, which use shall not be permitted. Authorized Users may transmit to a third party colleague in hard copy or electronically, no more than 20% or one chapter of the Licensed Materials, for personal use or scholarly, educational, or scientific research or professional use but in no case for Commercial Use, with the exception of SUPO+ Licensed Materials, as defined in 1.5 and identified in the Licensed Materials Schedule, which use shall not be permitted, consistent with the fair dealing doctrine and exceptions for educational institutions and libraries in Canadian copyright law. |
